Getting to know Ali
Learn about my journey, my vision for Ottawa, and how I'm connected to our community. Together, we can build a better future for our city.

My journey to running for mayor
I came to Canada at a young age and built my life here through hard work, leadership, and service. My career includes sales, management, adult education, and public transit. Today, as a Relief Instructor with OC Transpo, I have firsthand experience with our transit system and the challenges it faces.
I look around Ottawa and I see a city I love, with incredible people and tremendous potential. But I also see roads and infrastructure that need attention, transit that needs to be more reliable, housing challenges, and public safety concerns.
I believe Ottawa needs leadership that thinks beyond the next four years and plans for the next 20, 30, and 50 years.
That is why I’m running. I want to go door to door across Ottawa, listen to residents, and bring their voices to City Hall.
I’m running to make Ottawa the city we deserve and can be proud of.

What I want Ottawa residents to know
I believe in hard work, integrity, and doing the job right. Throughout my career in sales, management, education, and public transit, I have always focused on achieving results and helping others succeed.
My vision for Ottawa is simple: better roads and infrastructure, reliable transit, affordable housing, safer communities, and better city services.
I believe politicians work for the people, and residents deserve leaders who keep their promises and are accountable for their decisions.
I also believe we need to think beyond the next election and plan for Ottawa’s next 20, 30, and 50 years.
Most importantly, I want residents to know that I will listen. I will work for every Ottawa resident, not just a select few.
From the People. For the People.

My connection to Ottawa
I have built my life and career in Ottawa, including working within OC Transpo and supporting the training of new operators. This has given me firsthand experience with our transit system, its employees, and the challenges riders face.
During this campaign, I plan to go door to door across Ottawa and visit every ward, listening directly to residents and understanding their concerns.
I also bring years of experience in leadership, management, sales, education, and coaching. I know how to work with people, solve problems, and focus on results.
I believe Ottawa needs leadership that looks beyond the next four years and plans for the next 20, 30, and 50 years.
I’m ready to listen, work together, and build the Ottawa we deserve and can be proud of.
